The Smoky Ten is distilled using malted barley smoked with Highland peat. This wood rich Highland peat imparts distinctly sweet and smoky notes into Benriach peated whiskies. Enriched with three cask maturation using bourbon barrels, toasted virgin oak and Jamaican rum casks for layers of sunripe fruit, aromatic smoky sweetness and toasted oak spice. Distilled on the shores of the Sound of Islay since 1846 using pure water from Loch Nam Ban, it captures the essence of Islay with clarity, finesse, and enduring appeal. Pale straw in colour, this fresh and smooth-bodied whisky opens with a clean, appetising nose of subtle citrus fruit, fresh herbs, and a gentle wisp of peat smoke. The palate begins sweetly and softly, developing into a fragrant, balanced smokiness before concluding with a lingering, sweet-smoke finish.

Cardhu, the Queen of Speyside malts, has a generous spirit that is as well matched to that of hard-working founder, Helen Cumming, as it is to that of the busy bees that pollinate the hillside heather through the long days of summer. Clean, elegant and perfectly poised, this Cardhu was made in small batches and matured in refill casks, as well as new and ex-bourbon American oak, drawing out tones of floral sweetness and spicy intensity in a playful exchange between wood and whisky. Notes of fresh orchard pear, green apple, grape and pineapple join a trace of lemon peel on the nose, with a gentle mossy base. The texture is creamy- smooth, the taste sweet then juicy, with a buttery richness. Of a good length, the finish is spicy, with lingering warmth.
