Upon release the wine is bright ruby in colour. There is a teasing array of vibrant red fruit on the nose including raspberry, pomegranate, cherry and plum. Spice and herbal notes, as well as a savoury underlay, add to the wine's complexity. While the palate has generous fruit weight and velvety tannins, it is balanced with refreshing acidity and a structure that gives the wine classic North Canterbury tension and pinosity.

Crafted in Sicily by the renowned Pellegrino winery, this Fine Italia Particolare Semisecco Marsala is a true icon of Italian fortified winemaking. Aged for 12 months in oak barrels and further refined in bottle, it offers a beautifully balanced palate with notes of dried fruit, honey, caramel and toasted nuts, complemented by subtle hints of vanilla and spice. Smooth and elegant with a lingering finish, it's equally at home served as an aperitif, paired with classic Italian desserts and mature cheeses, or used to add depth and richness to favourite recipes.

Since its inaugural 1962 vintage, Penfolds Bin 128 Coonawarra Shiraz has showcased the elegance and character of one of Australia's finest cool-climate wine regions. Sourced exclusively from Coonawarra's famed terra rossa soils over limestone and matured in French oak hogsheads, it offers a striking contrast to the richer, warmer-climate Shiraz styles for which Penfolds is equally renowned. The 2021 vintage reveals lifted aromas of blue fruits, violets and cracked black pepper unfold alongside mulberry, boysenberry and subtle baking spice, while savoury hints of paprika and cured meats add complexity. Warm, dry conditions and ancient soils provide the foundation for a bold yet refined Shiraz, shaped in the unmistakable Penfolds style with a thoughtful balance of French and American oak. Layers of boysenberry, mulberry and raspberry unfold across the palate, complemented by hints of cola, exotic spice and a subtle ironstone minerality. Fine, persistent tannins and well-integrated oak add depth and structure, delivering a wine of impressive balance and longevity. Drinking beautifully now, this is a cellar-worthy Shiraz with the potential to evolve through to 2035.
