When Tomatin Distillery was established in 1897, the isolated and idyllic setting of Tomatin was almost perfect. However there wasn't a local workforce; the local inhabitants were scattered shepherds and cattle drovers. The company began a project of construction to accommodate its workforce. Since that time the distillery has been at the heart of the community and the community at the heart of the distillery. This legacy has continued and Tomatin remains one of the few distilleries to provide a home for its dedicated craftsmen. Time in Bourbon barrels and Virgin Oak casks brings a light sweetness to The Tomatin Legacy, a non-peaty scotch which boasts aromas of vanilla bean, white chocolate and cinnamon. On the palate gentle waves of fresh fruit peppered with ginger emerge ahead of a light, clean finish.

Tullamore DEW 12 Year Old Special Reserve Like Tullamore D.E.W. Original, Tullamore D.E.W. 12yo Special Reserve is a triple distilled blend of all three types of Irish whiskey. However, it has a high proportion of pot still and malt whiskeys, matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, for 12 to 15 years.

Triple distilled and patiently aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, this original blended Irish whiskey is known the world over for its smooth and gentle complexity. Tasting Notes: The early floral yet biscuit flavour reflects the grain whiskey, while the soft spicy notes can be attributed to the pot still whiskey in the blend. The citrus flavour is complemented by the malt. Finally notice the nutty or even marzipan note combined with distinctive vanilla in the finish - imparted by the sherry and bourbon casks used in maturation.

The entry is smooth and slightly creamy, with a surprising depth of flavour. Sweet malt and caramelised sugar dance on the tongue, complemented by a touch of orchard fruits - ripe apples and pears. The peat influence emerges gently, adding layers of earthy smoke that intertwine seamlessly with notes of oak and a hint of coastal brininess. Made from peated New Zealand malt, double distilled and aged in American oak casks. Full bodied and easy drinking, Moss is a gateway to New Zealand peat. A crowd pleasing whisky with floral aromas of jasmine, honey, liquorice, vanilla bean and cough syrup, created by the interaction of the lightly peated malt with the American oak wine barrels, which have been shaved, toasted and re-charred (STR). Further maturation in first fill bourbon barrels provides a creamy texture and a long lingering finish with spice and sweet fruit, and a teasing hint of smoke.
